Interfaith Prayer for all People

To pray with good will is to have a positive interaction with our Creator, the Divine Principal, or our source of Divine inspiration--however you call or experience Him/Her/Them. Prayer is simple. It comes as a daily practice to give thanks for all that we have been allowed in this life; we give thanks for what we have, good experiences and interactions with people, for good food and family, children, or a roof over our heads. We treat our Creator as our friend, our confidant, as a good parental role model, because this is what He/She/They are for us--God provides everything that we need for our lives. And then we open our hearts very wide to allow God's grace to come in, and to let everything--all worries, doubts, fears, burdens and negative thoughts and memories out--send it to God. We pray for our deepest heart wishes, we give thanks, and we listen for answers, for God's guidance with our heart and body. We feel the guidance and protection of the Divine inside. Notice what it feels like. And we observe God's affect on our lives. Prayer is a natural way of communicating with the "Great unknown," the vast expanse of the Divine that is often left in the mystery. When prayer becomes a daily practice, when it comes from the deepest part of our hearts, good results happen, lives change, health turns around for the Good.

A definition of prayer, according to one source, goes something like this: "The word prayer or prarthana (in Sanskrit) is derived from two words ‘pra’ and ‘artha’ meaning pleading fervently. In other words, it is asking God for something with intense yearning. Prayer includes respect, love, pleading and faith. Through a prayer a devotee expresses his helplessness and endows the doer-ship of the task to God. Giving the doer-ship to God means that we acknowledge that God is helping us and getting the task done. Prayer is an important tool of spiritual practice in the generic spiritual path of Devotion."

Please take a few moments to pray with us for the people named on the scrolling marquee below. We use the name "God," as it is the most common name for our creator. If you see other names, such as Lord, you may assume that it could be Lord Buddha, Lord God, Lord Jesus, or Lord Siva to whom we pray. As this site's focus is on spiritual prayer, we leave out the religion, so that you may do your own part as you feel inspired. This is only a model; you must "fill in the blanks" to make it mean something significant for yourself.

“The most precious gift we can offer others is our presence. When mindfulness embraces those we love, they will bloom like flowers.”    Thich Nhat Hanh

And so, with a deep breath, please let go of all worries, negative thoughts, and the "what if" scenarios. Look at the photo, listen to the music below. Take the time to let God in, so that He can do the work. Once you begin to let go of these things and feel more positive, I'm sure that you or yours will be feeling much better very soon.

Prayer Request Guidelines

This following form is a prayer request form to request and ask for your friends and family. Their names will be kept "in circulation" for up to a month. When you fill out the form, please use only their first name, as God already knows who you are praying for. It also maintains a certain privacy. No more details are necessary.

When we enter a prayer request, we only think of our friend or family member as healthy. We only focus on the Good parts of their life, a good outcome, that all matters are already solved. And by keeping it positive, many times, the result will be such.

God likes things to be kept positive and simple. This is the best order for a great outcome. When we believe that "Nothing is impossible" and focus our trust and belief in only a Good outcome, our circumstances, our health changes favorably. Warm wishes to you and yours.
